Nils A Ollquist is the driving force behind Borneo Resource Investments, a US publicly‐traded “resource project generator” which, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, '''Interich International''', “controls resource concessions and licenses indicated to contain substantial reserves of thermal (steaming) coal… located in Kalimantan province, on the island of Borneo, Republic of Indonesia." [StockGuru 5 January 2012].

Interich International Ltd, of which Ollqist is both chairman and CEO, is based in the British Virgin Islands tax refuge, with its office in West Virginia.

Ollqist says he has “over 30 years of international banking and corporate finance experience” and to “have been doing business in Indonesia since 1993”. He has also worked as “a specialist project and resource finance manager with a major [unidentified] European bank, and extensive experience in coal and iron ore financing in his native Australia”.

During his time with the Australian Treasury, he was "involved in International Capital Markets issues and infrastructure financing", and has dealt in corporate finance in New York, Los Angeles and Sydney. He is also currently president of the OFS Capital Group, based in Hong Kong.

On 14 May 2012, Borneo Resource Investments filed a Registration Statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) which, once declared effective, means the firm can begin trading on the OTCQB stock exchange (the “over the counter” derivatives’ trading platform in New York).

According to Ollquist, this will "allow us to pursue our goals of providing greater transparency and liquidity for our shareholders, increasing our access to capital and listing Borneo's shares on a U.S. national securities exchange" [PRNewswire, 14 May 2012].
